About Me
Hi, I'm Klaas. In college, I had a friend who said I would pay more for a broken cassette deck than a working one just for the joy of fixing it. That trait has carried into 2026 as I attempt to repair a dishwasher, continue creating beautiful aquascaped shrimp tanks, and learn just how much I don't know about security, AI, and how to increase engagement and passion in teams.
The common thread is exploring how things work, whether they're technical systems, people, or organizations, and making them a little better, even if that means taking them apart first.
When I'm away from the keyboard, you'll find me wandering with a camera in search of great bokeh, making friends with a new dog, or obsessing over the care of freshwater shrimp. And, the occasional game. Technology, nature, and social systems all share the same quiet reward: there is always something new to discover.
